Forth mobility: Short term Spanish students in Vilnius

Tres maestras y seis alumnos/as de sexto de primaria del colegio 19 de abril, visitamos el colegio Vilniaus Sofijos Kovalevskajos Progimnazija durante los días 15-18 de noviembre. Fue una experiencia enriquecedora donde aprendimos nuevos métodos de enseñanza de otro sistema educativo. A su vez, nos lo hemos pasado muy bien conociendo otra cultura y aprendiendo mucho de ellos/as.

Three teachers and six students who are in sixth grade from 19 de abril school, visited Vilniaus Sofijos Kovalevskajos Progimnazija school from the 15th-18th November. It was a rewarding experience where we learnt a lot about new methods from a different educational system. At the same time, we had a lot of fun and learnt a lot from theirs.

Educational programme “Five senses” in the old town of Vilnius

Salimos de excursión a ver la ciudad de Vilnius. Una guía profesional nos preparó una visita por el casco antiguo y durante el paseo, participamos en distintas actividades. ¡Descubrimos la ciudad con los cinco sentidos!

A professional guide invited to an interactive tour of the old town of Vilnius. During the walk, students heard interesting facts, participated in different activities and discovered Vilnius with all five senses. Immersive tasks and stories, unexpected smells, sounds and tastes awaited them.

3D films at lessons

 El maestro de inglés introdujo una actividad en 3D basada en realidad virtual. Usamos Mozabook, un programa interactivo donde aprendimos muchos contenidos sobre el medio ambiente.

The English teacher introduced a 3D Virtual Learning Environment for students and MozaBook- an interactive educational presentation software.

Photon robots and mathematics

 En una clase de matemáticas, usamos los robots para realizar problemas de matemáticas y poner en práctica algunos algoritmos y cálculo mental. En distintos grupos y gracias al uso del inglés pudimos solucionar los problemas matemáticos sin problemas.

During the maths lesson students used robots to practice analytic and problem-solving skills, learn writing down solutions in the form of an algorithm and practice mental calculations. Students practiced teamwork and program the Photon robot by following instructions in English.

Traditional Lithuanian dances and games

Algunos estudiantes nos enseñaron cómo bailar bailes lituanos tradicionales. También juéganos a juegos típicos del país.

Some students showed and teach how to dance traditional Lithuanian dances and play traditional games. 

Intellectual game “Smart heads”

 Participamos en un concurso llamado "Smart heads" donde tuvimos que responder ciertas preguntas sobre el medio ambiente, tradiciones, historia y muchos temas culturales.

We participated in a show named "Smart heads" where we had to answer different questions about the environment, traditions, history and other cultural topics.

Entertaining-educational programme “Scientist”

Todos llegamos a ser científicos/as. Una científica nos enseñó algunos experimentos muy divertidos por ejemplo: cómo hacer lava mágica, encender fuego con algunos materiales, etc.

Specialists showed some experiments, for example, how to make magical lava, how to put out fire or work with dry ice.

Autumn crafts

 La maestra de física presentó manualidades sobre el otoño. Los estudiantes trabajando en grupo crearon su propia manualidad hecha de materiales naturales como hojas, castañas, ramas de los árboles, etc.

Physics teacher presened the autumn crafts and decoration ideas. Students working in groups created and present their own crafts made from natural materials such as leaves, chestnuts, cones, tree bark, acorns and nuts.

School presentations and exchanging of ideas “Traditions of our school”

Algunas niñas lituanas y los seis estudiantes españoles presentaron información sobre tradiciones de su colegio, intercambiando experiencias y comparando distintos métodos de enseñanza que se llevan a cabo en ambos países.

Students from Lithuania and Spain presented information about traditions of their schools. There was an exchange of ideas, comparing Lithuanian and Spanish teaching and learning methods in both countries.

Third mobility: Short term Lithuanian students in Spain

Recibimos a dos maestras y seis niñas lituanas entre 11 y 12 años en nuestro colegio durante los días 24-26 de octubre. Organizamos muchas actividades relacionadas con el medio ambiente utilizando las nuevas tecnologías. Además, tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer un poco más sobre su cultura y las diferencias y similitudes entre los dos países.

Acabamos la movilidad con una excursión por Sevilla. Muchas familias, docentes, personal del colegio, niños y niñas de ambos países pudieron disfrutar de ella.

Two Lithuanian teachers and six students who are between 11 and 13 years, visited our school from the 24th-26th October. We organized plenty of activities related to the environment using new technologies. Moreover, we had the chance to know more about their culture and differences and similarities between theirs and ours. 

 We finished the mobility with a cultural trip in Sevilla. A lot of families, teachers, school staff and children from both countries could have a good time.

Spanish dances

 Algunos alumnos del colegio que bailan flamenco y sevillanas, nos enseñaron cómo bailar. Nos lo pasamos muy bien y conocimos más sobre la cultura española y tradiciones.

Some students who dance flamenco or traditional Spanish dances, showed us how to dance. We had fun and know more about the Spanish culture and traditions.

Workshop about recyclable materials

El alumnado de cinco años había preparado una exposición de distintos objetos elaborados con materiales reciclados.

Our students who are in Infant Education have prepared different objects using recycled materials.

Presentation about climate change using technological tools

 Algunos alumnos/as de sexto nos proporcionaron información sobre el cambio climático y sus consecuencias utilizando algunas herramientas tecnológicas como el "canda" y "kahoot".

6^th grade students explained some information about climate change and its consequences using some games and technological tools, such as canva and kahoot.

Reading stories about the environment

 Una vez al trimestre, los alumnos/as mayores del colegio leen un cuento a los alumnos de todo el centro, incluidos los más pequeños/as. Esta vez cuentos estaban basados en el cuidado del medio ambiente.

Al final de la lectura, los lectores prepararon algunas actividades para los oyentes.

As we usually do once a term in our school, the older students read to the younger pupils a book related to the environment. At the end of the reading, the readers prepared some activities for the listeners.

Visiting our School Vegetable Garden and planting a lemon tree

Nuestros alumnos de segundo nos enseñaron el huerto escolar del colegio donde suelen plantar: cebollas, lechuga, etc.

Finalmente, las niñas Lituanas plantaron un limonero que cuidaremos y tendremos de recuerdo.

Our younger students will show our School Vegetable Garden where they are planting different vegetables such as: onions, lettuce, beetroot, etc. 

Finally, they will plant a lemon tree which we will take care of.

Activity 5: Let’s run! We put into practice what we have learnt about recycling.

 Algunos alumnos de sexto nos enseñaron una presentación sobre el reciclaje utilizando la herramienta tecnológica "Plickers" para evaluar lo que han aprendido.

Some students of 6^th grade showed us a presentation about recycling using some technological tools, such us “Plickers”, in order to evaluate their knowledge.

Después de la presentación pusimos en práctica este conocimiento en el patio jugando a un juego de carreras basado en el reciclaje.

After the presentation, we  put into practice the knowledge they have acquired. We went to the playground and we played a game about recycling.

Traditional Spanish games

 Algunos maestros de Educación física y algunos alumnos/as  "mini-teachers" nos enseñaron varios juegos tradicionales populares de nuestro país como: "A bote bote", Toca la pelota y "Pilla pilla loco". Nos divertimos mucho y conocimos más sobre la cultura española.

Physical Education teachers and some "mini-teachers" students showed several Traditional Spanish games such us: "A bote bote", Touch ball and "Pilla pilla loco" where we had a lot of fun and knew more about the Spanish culture.

An exchange of ideas about “What we do to take care of our school and environment”

 Algunos alumnos y algunas alumnas de sexto de primaria prepararon una presentación sobre: ¿Qué podemos hacer para cuidar de nuestro colegio y del medio ambiente?. Tuvimos de público a los delegados/as y subdelegados/as del colegio. Intercambiamos ideas y experiencias entre los alumnos/as españoles/as y las niñas lituanas.

Some 6th grade students prepared a presentation about "What we do to take care of our school and environment". The audience was different representatives of different classes of the school. There was an exchange of ideas and experiences between Spanish-Lithuanian students.

Al finalizar la presentación, una niñas lituanas cantaron algunas canciones de su país.

At the end of the presentation some Lithuanian students sang some songs from their countries.

Math lesson in Infant Education

 Pilar, una maestra de educación infantil, nos invitó a una clase del método ABN de matemáticas en la que consistió en: Relajación, trabajo manipulativo, uso de algunas herramientas tecnológicas como "el rincón de Lucas", terminando con una divertida canción para repasar los números.

Pilar, an Infant Education teacher showed a math lesson using some digital tools such as “El Rincón de Lucas” in a manipulative way based on the ABN method. She started with a relaxing activity and finished with a funny song about numbers.

Second Mobility: Job-Shadowing

 Tres docentes del colegio 19 de abril realizamos una visita de job-shadowing durante los días 19 al 23 de septiembre el colegio de Vilniaus Sofijos Kovalevskajos Progimnazija, situado en Vilnius la capital de Lituania. Aprendimos mucho sobre nuevos métodos de enseñanza y aprendizaje en relación a:

• Toma de conciencia sobre el medio ambiente y cambio climático.
• Cómo integran distintas asignaturas utilizando la competencia digital en todo momento.
• Enseñanza de la lengua extranjera, creando un ambiente distendido y motivador para el alumnado.

Three teachers from "19 de abril" school visited "Vilniaus Sofijos Kovalevskajos Progimnazija" school, located in Vilnius from the 19th-23rd September. We learnt a lot about new teaching and learning methodologies about:

• Students' awareness and leadership in protection of the environment and tackling the climate change.
• How they use the integration of subjects, using digital technologies and digital content implementation experience.
• Teaching a foreign or second language creating an engaging and effective learning environment in the classroom.
