First mobility: Job-Shadowing

Primera movilidad del proyecto: Job-Shadowing

Recibimos a tres maestras lituanas durante la semana del 23-27 de mayo. El principal objetivo de esta primera movilidad es la observación de  nuevos métodos de enseñanza y aprendizaje que llevamos a cabo en nuestras aulas, realizando actividades relacionadas con la concienciación y cuidado del medio ambiente y calentamiento global.

Three Lithuanian teachers visited our school from the 23rd-27th May. The main goal of this first mobility was the observation of new teaching and learning methodologies we carry out in our lessons. Taking into account eco-friendly learning and raising awareness about environmental issues as a main topic, they could learn about how to implement new tools and activities in their teaching-learning process.

 

Climate change experiments

Algunos alumnos de sexto nos mostraron una presentación sobre lo que es el cambio climático usando en todo momento las nuevas tecnologías. A continuación, ellos prepararon algunos experimentos para explicar el daño que causa este fenómeno en el planeta.

Some students of 6^th grade showed us a presentation about what climate change is using some technological tools. Then, they prepared some experiments to explain this phenomenon.

Visiting a recycling plant

Algunos maestros y alumnos de tercero de primaria tuvieron la oportunidad de visitar una planta de reciclaje. Todos aprendimos sobre este proceso y fuimos más conscientes de la importancia que tiene reciclar en la sociedad.

Renewable energy and making a solar oven

Tuvimos la gran oportunidad de que nos visitase un especialista en energías renovables. Nos enseñó qué son las energías renovables y cuales son las más usadas en Dos Hermanas. 

Seguidamente, algunos alumnos de sexto realizaron una manualidad de cómo elaborar un horno solar, sin necesidad de electricidad ni contaminación.

A specialist in the Renewable energy area will visit us and show what kind of renewable energy is most common in our city. We finished the presentation with a game to evaluate the students.

Whenever the presentation about “How Renewable Energy is used in our city” is done, we learnt how to make a handicraft about a solar oven.

“The Iberian Lynx that saved the Dinosaurs” book

Tuvimos las oportunidad de contactar a través de videollamada con la escritora del libro "el Lince que salvó a los dinosaurios". Aprendimos mucho sobre estos animales en peligro de extinción y sobré qué podemos hacer para protegerlos.

Third graders have learnt a book about an animal that is becoming extinct. We will have an online conversation with the writer and our students will be more conscious about what can we do to save these species of animals.

Workshop about how to create musical instruments using recycled materials

La maestra de música preparó un taller donde los alumnos de cuarto elaboraron algunos instrumentos musicales utilizando materiales reciclados. Además, dieron uso de las nuevas tecnologías para mostrar como habían construido estos instrumentos musicales.

The music teacher prepared a workshop where some students who are in 4^th grade had made some musical instruments using recycled materials. They will use new technologies to show us how they have made them.

Climate change consequences: From garbage to decompose and animals in danger of extinction

Gracias al uso de juegos y herramientas tecnológicas como baamboozle o kahoot, nuestros alumnos de sexto y la auxiliar de conversación del centro, realizaron una presentación sobre las consecuencias del cambio climático. El proceso de descomposición de materia (la importancia del reciclaje) y animales en peligro de extinción como temas principales.

Using some games and technological tools such as baamboozle or kahoot, our older students and our language assistant, prepared a presentation about some climate change consequences. Decomposing process of different objects (the importance of recycling) and animals in danger of extinction as the main topics.

Workshop about recyclable materials

Nuestros alumnos de infantil elaboraron muchos objetos con materiales reciclados. Nos enseñaron al mismo tiempo la importancia que tiene el reciclar.

Our students who are in Infant Education have made different objects using recycled materials. They will show us how important is to recycle.

Workshop about how to make homemade soap

Algunos de nuestros alumnos de sexto tuvieron la oportunidad de explicar cómo elaborar jabón casero con aceite usado. Para explicar el proceso, utilizaron algunas herramientas tecnológicas como Canda y seguidamente, todos hicimos jabón.

Some 6th grade students explained how to make homemade soap from recycled cooking oil. In order to explain the process, they used technological tools such us Canva and then everyone made soap

Presentation by the Lithuanian teachers: "What we do to save our environment"

Empezamos el primer job-shadowing con una presentación que las maestras lituanas prepararon sobre "¿Qué hacemos para salvar al medio ambiente?". Las maestras y algunos alumnos de quinto curso explicaron qué suelen hacer para cuidar el medio en el que vivimos,  proponiendo nuevas medidas y conociendo qué se suele hacer en ambos países.

Presentation about “What we do to save our environment” by the Lithuanian teachers and some 5th grade students. We could reflect on this topic, exchanging some ideas about what we do in order to save the environment in both countries.

Visiting our School Vegetable Garden

Los alumnos más pequeños del colegio nos enseñaron nuestro huerto escolar donde habían plantado lechugas, remolacha, entre otros. Al mismo tiempo, nos transmitieron algunos valores sobre cómo cuidar de estos seres vivos y cómo cuidar al planeta en general.

Our younger students showed our School Vegetable Garden where they had planted different vegetables such as: lettuce, beetroot, etc. At the same time they transmitted some values about how to take care of these living things and our planet.
