Second Mobility: Job-Shadowing

 Tres docentes del colegio 19 de abril realizamos una visita de job-shadowing durante los días 19 al 23 de septiembre el colegio de Vilniaus Sofijos Kovalevskajos Progimnazija, situado en Vilnius la capital de Lituania. Aprendimos mucho sobre nuevos métodos de enseñanza y aprendizaje en relación a:

• Toma de conciencia sobre el medio ambiente y cambio climático.
• Cómo integran distintas asignaturas utilizando la competencia digital en todo momento.
• Enseñanza de la lengua extranjera, creando un ambiente distendido y motivador para el alumnado.

Three teachers from "19 de abril" school visited "Vilniaus Sofijos Kovalevskajos Progimnazija" school, located in Vilnius from the 19th-23rd September. We learnt a lot about new teaching and learning methodologies about:

• Students' awareness and leadership in protection of the environment and tackling the climate change.
• How they use the integration of subjects, using digital technologies and digital content implementation experience.
• Teaching a foreign or second language creating an engaging and effective learning environment in the classroom.

Educational programme at Energy and technology

Durante el programa educativo “Ilusiones – ¿Ciencia, mística o engaño?” los alumnos aprendieron qué son las ilusiones, cómo se forman o cómo se diseñan. Después del programa, los estudiantes pudieron explicar qué es un espejismo, pareidolia, perspectiva artificial y muchos más. Los participantes se familiarizaron con imágenes en movimiento, en 3D y descubrieron engaños ópticos con la ayuda de presentaciones interactivas. 

During the educational programme “Illusions – Science, Mysticism or Deception?” the participants will learn what are illusions, how they form or how they are designed. After the programme students will be able to explain what is a mirage, pareidolia, artificial perspective and many more. Participants will get acquainted with moving pictures, admire 3D anaglyphs and discover optical deceptions with the help of interactive exhibits.

Educational programme “A European Green Deal” at Europe information centre

Algunos estudiantes y profesores visitamos el "Centro de Información Europeo" y aprendimos mucho sobre la Unión Europea. Los alumnos aprendieron nuevas estrategias para entender mejor los impactos del cambio climático, empoderándolos de conocimiento, habilidades, valores y attitudes necesarias para proteger el medio ambiente.

Students and teachers visited "Europe information centre" and learnt about the European Union and new strategies for understanding the impacts of the climate change, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes needed to protect the environment.

Workshop about how to create new things from recycled

Los alumnos de noveno hicieron una presentación sobre problemas medioambientales a alumnos de quinto. Se propusieron muchas soluciones y acabaron la lección elaborando objetos del día a día con materiales reciclados.

Some 9^th grade students will teach 5^thgraders about environmental issues and how practically make things from recycled materials.

Integrated Physics and English lesson

Los alumnos de séptimo se dividieron en grupos de seis estudiantes, empezaron a investigar objetos de la naturaleza utilizando el microscopio. Los alumnos presentaron los resultados en inglés y jugaron a un juego usando la aplicación bamboozle para identificar los objetos.

7th graders divided in 6 groups investigated nature objects using microscopes and magnifying grasses. Students presented the results in English and play a game using bamboozle application to identify the objects.

Creating your maths story

 Los estudiantes de sexto crearon cuentos basados en un problema matemático utilizando la herramienta digital "writereader" disfrutamos muchísimo leyendo todas las historias.

Students of 6th grades created Fairytales based on a mathematical problem-solving task, using a digital tool named "writereader". We enjoyed a lot reading all the different stories.

Using 3D films for young students

Tuvimos la oportunidad de utilizar gafas de visión en 3D con los alumnos de segundo en el área de matemáticas. Realizaron muchas sumas y cálculos con números del 1 al 100 de una forma creativa y divertida.

The teacher will introduce a 3D Virtual Learning Environment for 2^nd graders. Learners will be able to make calculations from 1 to 100 in a creative and exciting way, when the 3D film becomes an effective and interesting tool for learning mathematics.

Photon Robots used in a Mathematics and an English lesson

Los alumnos de séptimo y octavo utilizaron Robots Photon para resolver problemas de matemáticas, escribiendo soluciones en forma de algoritmos y practicar el cálculo mental.

Asimismo, estos Robots Photon fueron utilizados en una clase de Inglés. Gracias al trabajo cooperativo aprendieron más vocabulario en la lengua extranjera sobre el cuidado del medioambiente.

7^th and 8^th graders used Photon robots to practice analytic and problem-solving skills, learn writing down solutions in the form of an algorithm and practice mental calculations.

In addition to this, they were used in an English lesson. They practiced teamwork and program by following instructions in English. The teacher created an engaging and effective learning about how to save our planet.

Lego and Sport mechanics

En la clase de séptimo grado de tecnología los estudiantes realizaron construcciones con figuras de Lego. Gracias a esta actividad aprendimos y entendimos mejor las leyes de la física y cómo funcionan la fuerza de los vectores. Descubrimos que gracias a las construcciones de Lego se puede mejorar las habilidades motoras y la creatividad.

At the technology lesson 7^th grade students will be able to construct Lego models and use them to prove physical laws for understanding how force vectors work. Lego constructing develops motor skills and creativity.

Presentations of Spanish-Lithuanian partners

Tuvimos la oportunidad de presentar nuestra ciudad, colegio y costumbres más destacadas de nuestro entorno a algunos alumnos de 6th grade y profesores Lituanos. Pudimos comparar nuestros sistemas educativos y hábitos sobre qué hacemos para cuidar el medio ambiente.

We had the chance to present our city, school and customs that we have to some 6th grade students. We reflected and compared our educational systems and exchanged some ideas about we do in order to save the environment in both countries.
